Alexandria Again and Forever

Summary

Director Youssef Chahine concludes his acclaimed Alexandria trilogy with style. Chahine is in full control of his craft with this film – the best of an interesting trio of films – as he examines a filmmaker’s complex relationships with actors and political activists in a gradually democratizing Egypt.
